Magical Companion: Orihime’s magical companion is a griffin which she named Goldenbeak Blackclaws, though she usually calls him Goldie. His hindquarters are the black-spots-on-black of a black jaguar, and his feathered parts are a deep burnished, almost metallic, gold. Goldie’s fur transitions from the black of his hindquarters to the gold of his feathers by gradually taking on the more typical black-on-gold coloring of a jaguar. He is about the size of a large male jaguar, standing about three feet high at the shoulder.

Anyone who sees Goldie with Orihime would think that he is a fairly placid animal. Orihime treats him like a very large kitten, and around her, he acts like one. Were anyone else to treat him in this fashion, they probably would not live long enough to realize their mistake. Goldie is, in fact, very evil tempered. Orihime, of course, is completely oblivious to this. He does not like other people or others of his own kind, and will only listen to Orihime (For anyone familiar with Gintama, think Sadaharu and Kagura vs. Sadaharu and anyone else). He is very loyal, and will viciously attack anybody who he thinks is intending to harm Orihime. His element is Air.

Magical Conductor
Basic- In the basic form, Orihime’s magical conductor takes the shape of the pins she wears in her hair. These pins mean a great deal to her, and when she channels magic through them, she sees it as her loving brother lending her strength, even after so many years dead. When being used to conduct magic, Orihime’s pins glow a bright, sunny yellow.
Risen- Orihime’s risen form is mainly defensive. In this form, the flowers in Orihime’s hair separate from the pins themselves and grow to a diameter slightly taller than Orihime herself. The petals also flatten out and become wider and metallic. The two gigantic flower shapes join at the centers on a axis and begin to spin like fans. One spins clockwise, and the other counterclockwise, both at great speeds, so fast they can barely be seen. The speed is so great that the spinning flowers form a strong shield, knocking most attacks aside. Orihime’s conductor also gives off an aura that strengthens the magical powers and slowly heals any wounds of those it is shielding. Orihime uses vocal or, later on, mental controls to direct the shield, allowing herself to protect herself or another person or object of her choice. When she is channeling magic through this form, it glows a hot yellow-white.
Divine- Orihime’s conductor can take two forms in the divine form. The first is simply an extension of her Risen form. In the divine form, Orihime can make the shield grow much larger, and the strengthening and healing aura it gives off is stronger. The flowers spin faster, making the barrier they form almost impenetrable, allowing only the quickest attacks through. In addition, the wind it gives off is so strong that many attacks which land in an area several feet around the edge of the shield are simply blown away.
The second form of Orihime’s Divine conductor is an offensive form. In this form, the flowers separate back into two and shrink back down until each petal is about eight inches long. They lose their petal shape and instead become a series of wickedly curved blades arranged in a half circle around a handle. These can be used as either hand-to-hand weapons or can be thrown. When thrown, they always return to Orihime like a boomerang. In addition, each blade can separate from the handle, forming a total of twelve short blades that Orihime can direct independently in a similar manner to the shield. She can use these as flying blades or she can channel electricity through them, using two as the poles for a lightning bolt to strike through someone or using as many as all twelve to create a cage of lightning to imprison an enemy.
Once she achieves the Divine form, Orihime will only very rarely use the offensive form except in its cage function, as she prefers not to fight unless she has to. In both the defensive and the offensive forms, Orihime’s divine conductor glows an actinic blue-white.

Personality: Looks-wise, Orihime is what could be described as ultra-feminine. She has long red hair which she wears held back by two blue flower-shaped pins, and gray eyes. She is also very busty for her size. She usually dresses in practical yet feminine clothes, most often form-fitting t-shirts paired with pants or knee-length skirts. She is fashionable, but not the least bit high maintenance.

Outwardly, Orihime has a cheerful and bubbly personality. There are few people she actively dislikes, and is good at seeing the good in people. An unfortunate side effect of this, however, is that she is also incredibly naive. She is very innocent-minded, and would be described as clueless by most people, even her closest friends. This does not mean that she is stupid, however. In fact, Orihime was among the highest-scoring students at Karakura High School. She simply suffers from a severe lack of street smarts and a tendency to act before she thinks. She is very trusting, and believes in her friends utterly.

Deep down, she is far more serious than she appears. She is much more perceptive than she allows people to think, putting on a cheerful personality when things turn bad because she does not want anybody to worry about her. She is extremely loyal to her friends, and is willing to do anything she thinks is necessary to protect them from harm. Though she does not enjoy fighting, when she feels it necessary, she is more than capable of holding her own physically, possessing, untrained, skills equivalent to a first level black belt in karate. The only times she willingly fights are when she is defending herself or one of her friends, and then it is difficult to keep her out of the fight.

The rest of Orihime’s personality can only be described as quirky. She has an extremely overactive imagination, and frequently comes up with ridiculously outlandish situations when asked a simple question. Also ridiculously outlandish are the combinations of foods she comes up with. Most of Orihime’s friends try hard to avoid her cooking, because otherwise they could be faced with combinations that only someone with no tastebuds could possibly enjoy. Though Orihime may be smart in some ways, she is completely hopeless when it comes to technology. She even finds it difficult to operate a cell phone properly. Like Ishida, Orihime is a member of the Fine Crafts Club.

Fighting Skills:
Magical Strength-Lesser Shinigami-Orihime has a great amount of potential as far as magic is concerned, but at this point, her powers still have not manifested themselves.
Brute Strength-Talented Human-Though she may not look it, Orihime is actually quite strong, and has a great amount of innate fighting ability. She just seldom uses this ability, because she prefers not to fight.
Energy Reserve-Realized Human-Once she actually learns how to do it, Orihime will have enough energy reserve to heal fairly substantial wounds or defend herself adequately if need be.
Vitality-Competitive Human-Athletic Human-Orihime may be strong, but since she doesn't fight often, she doesn't have the endurance necessary to fight effectively while sustaining damage. She can take some damage, but it's best if she stays behind a shield.
Agility-Average Human-Orihime is way to spacey to be able to dodge attacks effectively. Again, a shield is her best bet if she wants to avoid being hit.
